Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how CLAD Ventures LLC ("we," "our," or "us") collects, uses, stores, and discloses information when you use Bloom: Sleep Garden (the "App"). By downloading or using the App, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. Who We Are

Bloom: Sleep Garden is operated by CLAD Ventures LLC, an Indiana limited liability company. Questions about this Privacy Policy may be directed to info@clad-ventures.com.

2. Age Requirement

The App is intended for users who are at least 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If we learn that we have collected information from a user under 13, we will delete it promptly. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us information, please contact us at info@clad-ventures.com.

3. Information We Collect

3.1 Information That Stays on Your iPhone

You can use Bloom without an account. Your garden (its plants, tiles, fences, seeds, petals, water and streaks), the sleep information Bloom reads from Apple Health, your sleep insights and your app preferences are stored only in the App's storage on your device. We do not receive them.

3.2 Health Data (Apple HealthKit)

If you grant permission, the App reads sleep data from Apple Health:

• Time in bed and time asleep, including sleep stages and time awake, as recorded by your Apple Watch or another tracker that shares sleep with Apple Health.

Bloom uses this data on your device to grow your garden, keep your streak and show your sleep insights. Health data is never sent to our servers, is not shared with your friends, is not written back to Apple Health, and is never used for advertising, consistent with Apple’s HealthKit requirements. You can turn off access at any time in the Health app or in iPhone Settings.

3.3 Approximate Location

If you allow it, the App uses your approximate (reduced-accuracy) location on your device to match your garden’s sky to your local sunrise and sunset. Your location is not sent to us. If you don’t allow location, Bloom uses your time zone instead.

3.4 Account Information (Optional)

Friends features need a Bloom account. If you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive an account identifier, your email address (with Sign in with Apple this may be a private relay address) and your name if you choose to share it. We create a profile with a username and a display name, which you can change. We also store your time zone so that daily gifts and cheers start fresh at your midnight.

3.5 Friends Features

When you are signed in, we store:

• Your friends, friend requests, invite codes, and anyone you block or report.
• Cheers and gifts you send and receive. A gift is a drop of water and a petal for a friend’s garden.
• A copy of your garden’s layout (its tiles, plants, fences and number of blooms) and your streak, so friends can visit your garden.
• Your sharing choices: whether friends can see your garden and your streak, and whether people can find you by your username.
• In-app notifications about friend activity, such as a new friend request or a gift.

Your sleep data is not part of any of this and stays on your iPhone.

3.6 Technical Information

When the App contacts our servers (to sign in, use Friends features, or check whether your version of the App is still supported), our hosting provider records technical information such as your IP address, the time of the request and the App’s version. The version check sends only the App’s version and platform.

4. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, operate and maintain the App and its features.
• Grow your garden and show your sleep insights from the sleep data on your device.
• Let you add friends, visit each other’s gardens, and send cheers and gifts.
• Authenticate you and keep your account secure.
• Prevent abuse, including acting on blocks and reports.
• Tell you when a newer version of the App is needed.
• Show reminders you turn on, which are scheduled on your device.
• Respond to support requests or inquiries.
• Comply with applicable legal obligations.

We do not use your data for advertising, we do not track you across other companies’ apps or websites, and we do not sell your personal information.

5. Where Your Data Is Stored

Your garden and your sleep data are stored on your iPhone. If you delete the App, they are deleted with it, and we cannot recover them.

Account and Friends data is stored with Supabase in the United States (AWS us-east-2, Ohio). If you are located outside the United States, including in the European Economic Area (EEA) or United Kingdom, this data will be transferred to and processed in the United States. We retain it while your account is active.

6. Account Deletion

You can delete your account in the App: open Settings and tap Delete account in the Account section. This removes your profile, friends, friend requests, cheers, gifts, your garden’s shared copy and your settings from our servers, subject to any retention required by law. Your garden and sleep data on your iPhone stay until you delete the App. If you signed in with Apple, you can also stop using your Apple Account with Bloom in iPhone Settings.

7. Data Sharing and Third-Party Services

Your friends can see your display name and username, your garden’s shared copy (unless you make your garden private), your streak (if you share it), and the cheers and gifts you send them.

We do not sell your personal information. We use these service providers:

• Supabase (supabase.com): account authentication and the database for Friends features.
• Apple: Sign in with Apple, and Apple HealthKit on your device, at your direction and subject to your device permissions.
• Google: Sign in with Google, only if you choose it.

Each provider has its own privacy policy. We do not currently use analytics, advertising or crash-reporting SDKs. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, property, or safety of us, our users, or the public.

8. Data Security

We use industry-standard security measures, including encrypted transmission (HTTPS/TLS), access rules that let each account reach only its own data and what friends share, and the iPhone Keychain for your sign-in on your device. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security of your data.

9. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us data, contact us at info@clad-ventures.com and we will delete it promptly.

10. European Users — GDPR

If you are located in the EEA, United Kingdom, or Switzerland, the following additional terms apply.

10.1 Legal Basis for Processing

• Performance of a contract: to provide App features you have requested.
• Legitimate interests: to improve the App, maintain security, and prevent abuse.
• Consent: for optional features such as Apple Health and location access, which you may withdraw at any time.
• Legal obligation: to comply with applicable laws.

10.2 Your Rights

Under GDPR you have the right to access, rectify, or erase your personal data; restrict or object to processing; data portability where technically feasible; and to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. To exercise these rights, contact us at info@clad-ventures.com. We will respond within 30 days.

10.3 International Transfers

Account and Friends data is stored in the United States. Transfers from the EEA are subject to appropriate safeguards, including standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission.

11. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy at any time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the date above and, where appropriate, through an in-app notice. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
